We are delighted to present the sixth issue of TAM Academy Journal, dated November 2024, to our esteemed readers. As a publication of the Center for Social Research (TAM), our journal continues to feature carefully selected research from various disciplines within the social sciences.
This issue includes a total of 10 articles, 8 in Turkish and 2 in English. Among the Turkish articles: Hülya Gökbel’s study titled "Yapay Zekanın Gazetecilik Pratiklerindeki Yeri" discusses the impact of artificial intelligence on journalism processes and the ethical challenges encountered in this context. The joint work by Aynur Köse, Duygu Güner, and Aslıhan Turgut, titled "Yapay Zekâ Haberlerinde Kullanılan Çerçeveler: İnsanlık İçin Yeni Bir Umut ya da Yeni Bir Tehdit", examines how artificial intelligence is perceived through media and how these perceptions are reflected in society using framing theory. The article by Tolkun Soldan and Uğur Soldan, titled "Yeni Medya Araçlarının Eğitim Süreçlerine Etkisi", explores the contributions of new media tools to education and the challenges faced in this process. The study by Deniz Akbulut, Aynur Acer, and Nihal Paşalı Taşoğlu, titled "Yatırımcı İlişkileri Aracı Olarak Yıllık Raporların ve Web Sitesinin Kullanımı: Türk Hava Yolları Üzerine Bir Analiz", comprehensively examines the role of annual reports and websites in Turkish Airlines’ investor relations. Ayşe Kır and Tahsin Akçakanat’s article, "İşe Gömülmüşlük Kavramı Üzerine Bir Alanyazın Taraması", discusses the factors that enhance employees' engagement with their work lives. İslim Nur Ürün’s study, "Üniversite Öğrencileri Arasında Covid-19 Aşısı İstekliliğinde Dini Değerlerin Rolü", investigates the impact of religious values on vaccine willingness among university students in Şanlıurfa. The article titled "Hekim Merhameti Önündeki Engeller Üzerinde Öz Anlayış, Genel İyi Oluş ve Psikolojik Güvenliğin Etkisi" by Hesna Zeynep Sandal and Ebru Taysi analyzes physicians' professional challenges from the perspective of self-compassion and general well-being. The final Turkish article, "Ahmet Erhan Şiirine Otobiyografik Bir Bakış" by Cemal Melik Dıvarcı, examines Ahmet Erhan’s poems from an autobiographical perspective, discussing the personal traces within his works.
Among the English articles: Bushra Beegom Rk’s study titled "Gender Responsive Resettlement: Comprehending Refugee Women’s Unique Challenges and Needs with Special Reference to Canada" focuses on the unique challenges faced by refugee women during their integration processes in Canada, emphasizing the importance of gender-sensitive approaches. The research by Ayşe Şeyma Turgut Arıkan and Yasemin Özkan, titled "Resilience Levels of Care Leavers in Turkey", analyzes the psychological resilience levels of individuals who have left institutional care in Turkey within the framework of social support systems.
